Lanxess is a specialty chemicals group based in Germany. ASA were appointed as architects to design their India headquarters in Thane. The 70,000 sq.ft.office is spread over ground and 6 upper floors, and is located in an independent building.
The objective was to create a Shoppers Stop Store that would make the core customers feel comfortable and have a great shopping experience. The store showcased the latest fashion trends & best brands in the world. Inorbit mall was chosen as the proposed site. The store is spread over 2 floors with a carpet area of 70,000 Sq.ft.
ASA set up mock hotel rooms at the HOST hospitality exhibition in Mumbai. Two distinctly different concepts were created. One, a 500 sq.ft. Executive suite and the other, a 165 sq.ft. Limited service room. Both the rooms were designed keeping in mind functionality, aesthetics and budget, which were well appreciated by visitors to the exhibition who were mainly from the hospitality industry.
ASA was appointed to design an extension to an existing higher secondary school building. The proposal included an extension over the existing building and a 9 storied building abutting it. The main objective of the design was to maintain openness, with ample light and ventilation. The central atrium with terraces opening on to it at different levels and a double height entrance lobby creates interesting interactive spaces needed in an educational institution.
